CalWORKs Employment &
Wrap-Around Support

Employment Support
Our Employment Specialist assists Welfare to Work (WTW) participants in becoming job and career ready. The program uses the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model to help create a career profile, job search plan and job follow-along plan.

Mental Health Support
Our counselors provide therapy for children, parents, caregivers and families. Treatment for our CalWORKs recipients addresses a range of issues including: loss, stress, exposure to trauma, abuse, and family and community violence.

Case Management
We can provide referrals to WTW recipients whose substance use issues present barriers to employment. We help parents explore various substance abuse programs that would best match their individual needs.

Peer Support
Our Peer Specialist assists parents transitioning from WTW. The program provides referrals to parenting and life skills classes, and connections to community and job resources to remove barriers to self sufficiency.
